December, 1963

Um, how did it become December? I mean, don't get me wrong, I know the mechanics of a calendar, but seriously, where did November go? We only have 50 more Olivers! Hrm, well, that sounds like alot, but it's going so fast!

Oh! My EMC card came in the mail. That is Equity Membership Candidate card, for those that don't know. I'm now on my way to joining the union...yay! I'll get 12 points for this show, and I need 50 to join. So I'm on the way.

The show last night was a little rough, but it'll work itself out. The Siefrings are coming to the show tomorrow night! I'm excited to have people I know in the audience again! Yay!

I had a lovely time with Robert on my day off. Well, he spent most of the day in New York at an audition/callback for 42nd Street. But, once he got home we went out to dinner and a movie. We saw the new 3D Christmas Carol. I really didn't like it. I guess Jim Carey made an ok Scrooge, but I did not enjoy any of the ghosts, the ghost of christmas past especially angered me. There was also an extremely long (and totally non-textually supported) chase sequence (most likely to maximize the 3d-ness of the movie) that really lost me. Also, I felt it totally ignored the fact that by the time the ghost of christmas yet to come appears, Scrooge is ready to learn and is hopeful that he can change what he is about to see. This chase sequence showed him running away from the future, which isn't at all correct. Furthermore, I just don't understand the need for 3D movies. They give me a headache. Call me old fashioned, but I'll take a regular old movie any day of the week. (Especially if Jim Carey isn't in it!)

Well, that's all for today. One show tonight and then two tomorrow. Weeeeeeee!
